From May 2nd to May 12th, The Pope visited Kinshasa and Kisangani (Zaire); Brazzaville (Congo); Nairobi (Kenya); Accra and Kumasi (Ghana); Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso); Abidjan, Yamoussoukro
and Adzop� (Ivory Coast).

Back in Europe, Pope John Paul made a visit to Subiaco (September 28th) to meet with
the European Bishops before greeting H.M.

Germany (November 15th-19th), Pope John Paul waved to the crowds in K�ln, Bonn,
Osnabr�ck, Mainz, Fulda, Alt�tting and Munich.
On November 25th, Pope John Paul visited Capodichino (Naples),
Potenza, Balvano and Avellino; after the earthquake.
Then on December 19th it was the turn of Cvijetin Mijatovic, President
of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, to make an official visit to The Vatican.
