Colchester Arts Centre Presents Street Photography Exhibition by Homeless Photographers:

As part of Colchester Arts Centre's Street Hunt project an exhibition of extraordinary photographs of Colchester is being staged in the town's disused bus depot in Queen St. All the pictures have been taken by people who are homeless or have experience of homelessness. Locally based professional photographers Xavier Marseilles and Jonathan Doyle gave a free week long photography course to service users of Beacon House, the Colchester charity that offers help and support to homeless people, those in insecure accommodation and those at high risk of homelessness.

Mayor of Merthyr Tydfil Kevin Gibbs joined the shopping centre's management team to whittle down the 168 entries to 10 finalists.

The 2017 solar eclipse, a celestial show in which the sun and moon align in a solar eclipse, arrives on Monday, August 21. This rare astronomical event - when the moon slides across the face of the sun -- will be visible across the continental United States, including Northeast Ohio. The line of totality - the area where the sun will be completely hidden by the moon - is a 70-mile-wide band running from Lincoln Beach, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina.
